About Us
Sandwell Homes Ltd is an ALMO (Arms Length Management Organisation) responsible
for the management of approximately 29,000 properties owned by Sandwell Metropolitan
Borough Council. In 2008 the Audit Commission inspected Sandwell Homes and rated
the services as 3 Star (excellent).
The Purchasing team that operates within the Investment Division of Sandwell Homes
comprises a Commercial Manager, Senior Buyer and Buyers. The team provide professional
advice and expertise and are responsible for purchasing goods and services, including
all construction works, on behalf of Sandwell Homes. We aim to achieve Value for
Money in all our dealings and encourage our suppliers to embrace our range of best
practice initiatives including the implementation and delivery of Equality and Diversity
and Environmental policies. We look to work with our suppliers, forming sound business
relationships with clear aims and objectives.
Where appropriate we require our suppliers to satisfy a range of conditions including
registration with Constructionline and CHAS. We expect all suppliers to accept Purchase
Orders by E mail and payment by BACS whenever possible.
